Exams

Examinations are offered to eligible students.

Exams are not compulsory, but are encouraged. Examinations give students a goal to work towards, improve technique and skills required for dance. Two classes per week are required for Classical Ballet examinations from Level 3 to Advanced.

2025 Results - 100% Pass rate once again for all Classical Ballet exam students from Level 1 to Advanced with 12 High Distinctions (marks scoring 96-100%). Fantastic results! 

Competitions

The Victorian Dance Academy is highly successful at competition eisteddfods throughout Victoria. Solo, Duo, Trio or Troupe items.

Styles – Jazz, Tap, Classical Ballet, Song & Dance, Song & Tap, Neo Classical/ Contemporary.

For students from 5 years+ wanting that extra attention in order to improve their own dancing ability either as a solo performer or as part of the VDA troupe items.

For students who love to perform on stage, representing the Victorian Dance Academy at competitions gives them the fun of dressing up in costumes, hair and make-up with lots of stage experience performing to a live audience.

VDA Performance Group

Our fabulous competition students also form the VDA Performing Group. The VDA performance team has been invited to dance at various festivals, fairs and celebrations.
