For those wanting to make some noise!
A technique based class to modern music involving warm-up exercises, travel combinations wearing tap shoes. Focus is on foot work and learning specific tap steps from a shuffle to a pick up, from a slap ball change to a wing.
Focus:
Technique of learning Tap steps, Terminology, Rhythm and Coordination.
Classical Ballet
For the budding Ballerina!
A technique based class to classical music involving barre work, centre exercises, stretching, enchainment and allegro combinations. Classes offered from Level 1 to Advanced.
Students who have strong technique and ability will commence pointe work at the appropriate time for each individual with their teacher’s guidance.
Focus:
Technique of learning ballet steps and terminology, Posture, Alignment, Flexibility, Turning, Jumps, Coordination
VCE Dance
Units 1 – 4 (Open to Year 10 to Year 12 Students)
Focus:
A study of the theoretical and written components of Dance – including History of Dance, Anatomy, Physiology and Safe dance. Students will research work of great choreographers and analyse and report their findings. Practical work involves student choreography creating their own dance works for assessment. All studies take place at our VDA studios.
